The Nutcracker 2025

Exciting news everyone - SCB will be hosting TWO NUTCRACKER BALLETS this year!

AS USUAL at ABT - this is what we have been teaching for the Billings Symphony and San Diego Ballet for many many years, taking place at Alberta Bair Theater over the weekend following the Thanksgiving holiday.  That will still take place with the same roles available for all Billings dancers with rehearsals taking place primarily on Saturdays.  Auditions for all will be on the weekend of Sept 12 &13.

 

BRAND NEW! - SCB will be putting on its very own original Nutcracker Ballet for the first time ever!  Billings dancers will play all roles in the ballet, with performances the weekend of Dec 13 & 14 at MSUB’s Petro Theater.  Many rehearsals will take place during SCB classes, which we hope will make it possible for most students to participate.  Please note that not all classes will have dances in the ballet - some rehearsals will happen on Fridays or Saturdays.  There will also be weekend rehearsals for the full cast as scenes come together in November. Auditions for younger dancers (those in Movers, Pre-Ballet, Ballet 1 and Ballet 2) will be the morning of Sept 20.  Older dancers will be cast during their ballet classes. Students from outside of SCB will also be welcome to participate!

 

***We want to be very clear that these are two entirely separate productions with separate rehearsals.***
